French manufacturer Materne to hire over 100 in Idaho

NAMPA, Idaho – French agriculture manufacturer Materne, known for its popular applesauce product GoGo squeeZ, plans to hire over 100 employees between now and 2017 to work in its United States based manufacturing plant in Nampa.

The company first launched in the United States in 2008 with a plant located in Michigan, but grew to include its Nampa-based plant in December 2014 due to the rising demand of GoGo squeeZ applesauce in the U.S., Nampa plant manager Boris Salome said in an article for the Idaho Statesman.

The article reports that GoGo squeeZ applesauce comes in 22 flavors, includes fruit flavor mixes, vegitable blends and an organic line for the health savy. According to the article, Materne reported about $200 million worth of GoGo squeeZ sales in the U.S. in 2014.

The Nampa plant launched in December with a 122 employee workforce that administrators hope to expand by hiring an additional 162 employees by 2017.
